as promised today here's how you publish animations and still have a picture for our aggregator.
It's not that hard really, and it's quite possible that there are other or even better ways. Anyway, all you have to do:
* animations should be flashed (.swf) and embedded (code should be known by now, otherwise contact me)
* place one bitmap (picture) in the post - I experienced problems with the RSS feeds when the picture is placed in the middle or at the beginning of the post.
* furthermore problems occur when using several pictures within the post - seems like the first one in the post gets delivered by the RSS feed, other pictures were ignored (at least during several testruns I've made today)
* best results with a square picture (e.g. 160*160px)
* animated gifs works, too - this way you can at least present a hint of the animation you actually create

TESTRUN ON ANIMATED GIFS
that should do it

p.s.: Sorry for the animated gif, frank - i just could not resist :)
Have a blast, I'll have a coffee

Thnx Andree, but you should put in a little square image here as well :)
me and my brain... never really a team :)
i put an image in there and - as a kind of minipunishment for being such a meathead - a little animation as well.
But then it's an embedded animated gif because blogger normally doesn't except animated gifs?
it came as a surprise to me, too - blogger now seems to accept animated gifs as well. I created it in Flash, export to movie -> animated gif.
seems to have been patched :)
